Deborah Bussewitz embodies a vibrant blend of energy, playfulness, determination, and contentment. A poet, teacher, and leader, she now enjoys a fulfilling retirement, free from defined roles. She cherishes the roles of being a devoted mother and a loving grandmother, as well as a supportive partner and caregiver. Her self-perception is nuanced and layered, describing herself as intricate while embracing life's complexities. As an introvert, she finds solace in simplicity and the practice of meditation. Words hold a special place in her heart, serving as pathways to her core and complemented by the power of silence. Embracing the beauty of contradiction, Deborah finds her life enriched by both friendships and family connections. These connections, both expansive and deep, fill her life with happiness and meaning. Gratitude is the cornerstone of her perspective, as she looks upon her life with immense appreciation.
